Eternal Springtime Dermatology, an area leader in clinical research, is studying a potential treatment for teenagers with alopecia areata (patchy hair loss).
Study participants may receive the study treatment & study-related care from local doctors, and up to $1,000 compensation for their study-related time and travel.

This research study is seeking adolescents with severe alopecia areata.
Mild Alopecia Areata
Small, well-defined bald patches, usually less than a few inches across, appearing on the scalp or beard. These spots are often subtle and may not be noticeable unless the hair is parted or closely inspected. Hair often regrows on its own or with simple treatments.
Moderate Alopecia Areata
Multiple or larger bald patches that may merge together, affecting a larger area of the scalp, eyebrows, beard, or body hair. Hair loss becomes more noticeable and persistent, often needing medical treatments like corticosteroid shots or topical therapies to stimulate regrowth.
Severe Alopecia Areata
Extensive hair loss that may cover most or all of the scalp (alopecia totalis) or progress to complete loss of body hair (alopecia universalis). Hair regrowth is unpredictable, and the emotional impact can be significant. Specialized treatments like oral immunosuppressants or advanced therapies are often needed to manage the condition.
