Study Details

First OC Dermatology Research, an area leader in clinical research, is studying a potential treatment for asymptomatic vaginal molecular dysbiosis in women planning to undergo a frozen embryo transfer (FET). This research study is seeking females with asymptomatic vaginal molecular dysbiosis who are planning to undergo a frozen embryo transfer (FET).

Vaginal dysbiosis occurs when there is an imbalance of the natural bacteria in the vagina. In a healthy state, Lactobacillus bacteria typically dominate and help maintain a healthy environment.

Asymptomatic Condition

Many women with vaginal molecular dysbiosis do not experience obvious symptoms like itching, burning, or unusual discharge, making it difficult to detect without specialized testing.

Impact on Fertility

Research suggests that an imbalance in vaginal bacteria may affect reproductive health, including the success rates of procedures like frozen embryo transfers (FET).
